Preparing the Hair
Creating perfect curls on short hair with GHD requires some preparation. Start by washing and conditioning the hair, then towel dry and apply a heat protectant. Comb through the hair to remove any tangles and then blow dry the hair until it is completely dry.
Sectioning the Hair
Divide the hair into sections. Start at the nape of the neck and work your way up. Secure each section with a clip or elastic. Make sure the sections are not too thick or too thin.
Using the GHD
Take one section of hair and place the GHD at the root. Wrap the hair around the barrel and hold for a few seconds. Slowly move the GHD down the length of the hair, making sure to keep the hair wrapped around the barrel. Repeat this process with each section of hair.
Finishing Touches
Once all the sections have been curled, use your fingers to separate the curls and give them a more natural look. Finish off with a light hairspray to keep the curls in place.
